The kids headed back to school this week and I decided to make them Star cookies to start the year. I love this sugar cookie recipe and they always roll out so nicely. I think it has something to do with the Tupperware mat that I've used forever and ever. I did learn something this time with my rolling pin. It was one of those "duh" moments and the light bulb went on. I would always take flour and dust it on my rolling pin. This time I rolled the rolling pin in flour before I rolled it on the dough and it really worked much better as the rolling pin was able to "hold" a lot more flour this way. One would have thought after 20+ years of making these cookies that I would have known this.
