Seatbelt Reminder!

I have been out of the loop since Tuesday of this week. I received a phone call from Bryce that I needed to get to where he was immediately. My first question was "Are you ok?" Yes, he was ok, but his car was totaled and his passenger had a broken nose and was on her way to the hospital.

Bryce was driving a friend home from school and traffic was really bad because of an accident on the highway. Traffic was stopped in the far lane and the center turn lane and the car crossing his path was motioned to go thru, but no one mentioned this to Bryce who was just driving along. He hit the person Tbone as they came across his path. He had little time to brake and was only going about 35mph, but the impact was of a higher speed due to the fact that the person coming across probably hit the gas to get thru and then he didn't see them, so very little braking distance. Thankfully all are ok. The reason the girl broke her nose is because she didn't have her seatbelt on! Yes, I am furious with my son for not noticing this and I am furious at her for not putting it on. Lets hope all learned from this. Bryce did have his seatbelt on and the airbag did do its job.
